On my first point on that Q, I make a statement that Jinbei is gonna be on the future.
"Conclusion:
We might see Jinbei on Mermaid Island though. That's the only connection I can see about him."
Well, he DID! Although I'm not sure if he makes an appearance on the Mermaid Island, he still makes an appearance on the latest One Piece chapter (as far as I know). See for yourself!
